We are hitting the last few days before Christmas, which means the last few days to get that special someone a gift.

The Jefferson Area Chamber encourages Greene County residents to keep in mind Chamber Checks as part of their shopping list. Chamber Office Coordinator Beth Vander Wilt talks about the popularity of the gift idea.

“There have been several people already coming in and purchasing a Chamber Check. The unique thing about this year is that now when a person purchases a Chamber Check, the check can be used at any Greene County business regardless of whether they are a Chamber member or not.”

The checks are valid for one year from when someone purchases them. Vander Wilt says Chamber Checks are used locally, which means the money used to buy them helps the local economy.
