Friday, December 13th

1:46am: During a Traffic Stop in the 2000 Block of North Mulberry Street, the officer arrested the driver. Scott Randolph Luke, 31 of Garner was arrested for, “Driving While Barred – Aggravated.”

3:00pm: Janice Napolitano reported receiving Unwanted Text Messages from a male in TX. She advised she did not wish for the male subject to be contacted and that she had blocked his number.

4:27pm: Valentino Whitaker requested a Welfare Check on a female at 300 North Elm Street. The officer located the subject, who needed no assistance.

5:00pm: An officer located a male and female conducting business at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. The couple have an active No Contact Order prohibiting contact with each other. The officer spoke to the female, who advised she was in the business before the male arrived there and they were not together. The officer viewed video from the business, which collaborated her version of the event. No action was taken by the officer.

Saturday, December 14th

8:57am: An officer assisted a motorist near Elm and 220th Street.

9:08am: Lauren Schulte reported she had been Sexually and Physically Assaulted by a male at 108 East Central Ave. # 58. The officer transported her to ER to gather evidence of the reported crime. Schulte refused to cooperate and left ER. She continued to not cooperate with the investigating officer.

9:38am: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at North Locust and East Washington Streets. A 2020 Toyota 4Runner, owned by Avis Car Rental and operated by Diana Zinser of Henderson, Nevada, was northbound on North Locust Street. Zinser failed to yield and the posted Yield Sign and entered into the intersection at Washington Street, colliding with a westbound vehicle on Washington Street. The 2002 Chrysler Town & Country Van was owned and operated by Renee Collen Butts of Jefferson. Both vehicles suffered a reported $3000.00 in damages. Zinser was cited for, “Fail to Obey a Yield Sign, while Butts was cited for, “fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Accident.”

10:18am: The Wild Rose casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for a male being disruptive to other patrons. The officer spoke to the male and advised him the facility wished for him to leave. The male left willingly.

10:42am: Matt Hopkins requested an officer for smoke in his basement at 608 South Olive Street. The officer did not locate smoke, but detected a slight electric odor. He advised Hopkins to contact an electrician.

4:28pm: Patricia Ketchum reported an unknown male trespassing on her property at 107 North Cedar Street. She provided the officer with video of a vehicle and the male subject. The officer could not identify the vehicle or male in the video. He continues to investigate.

5:54pm: Billie Jo Hovick reported a male slumped over in a parked vehicle at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. The officers spoke to the male, who was fine and had been texting on his phone.

7:18pm: The Super 8 Motel requested officers at 207 West Gallop Road to remove an Unwanted Male from the premises. The male was not conducting business at the Motel and the officers advised him to leave and not return, or face Trespass Charges. The male left the area on foot.

7:40pm: Brandi Hicks spoke with an officer about her juvenile daughter receiving unwanted comments on her Snap Chat. The officer told her to block the subjects, or delete her daughter’s account.

10:46pm: Casey’s General Store requested an officer at 508 North Elm Street for a male loitering in the business. This is the same male from two previous entries. The officer had knowledge of an area family member of the male and contacted them to come and pick him up.

10:48pm: A worker from Fareway stopped at the LEC and spoke to an officer about a male acting strangely at 1207 North Elm Street. The event had occurred earlier in the evening. The officer advised him that an officer had a family member on the way to pick up the male and thanked him for the information.

11:28pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and M Ave. resulted in Bailey Rose of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

Sunday, December 15th

7:39am: Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from Jefferson officers in looking for a missing male from their county. The subject was last known to be at the Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson, but was no longer at the facility. The officers did not locate the subject in town.

9:19am: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street resulted in Douglas Shutt of Grand Junction being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

10:03am: Charley Dozark reported receiving Unwanted Contact from a male in Gowrie. The officer contacted the male and advised him to end the contact.

12:03pm: Emily Fisher requested assistance with her young son, who was standing down the street and would not return home. The officer spoke to the youngster, showed him the interior of the patrol vehicle and returned him home.

9:13pm: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of South Vine Street resulted in Amie Kniffin of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

Monday, December 16th

3:12am: An officer checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at 303 North Elm overnight. The officer learned it belonged to an employee and had mechanical problems.

10:19am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of East Clark Street.

4:08pm: An officer investigated a One Vehicle Property Damage Accident at 208 West McKinley Street. A 2009 Chevrolet Equinox, owned and operated by Janis Runyon of Jefferson, turned too sharply in the parking lot and became entangled in a guy line for a utility pole. The officer estimated damage to the Runyon vehicle at $600.00. Alliant Energy was contacted to ensure no damage was done to the guy line.

6:45pm: Judy Wills reported people ringing the doorbell and running away from 306 North High Street. The officer did not find anyone in the area.
