The Guthrie Center School Board approved a soil borings contract Monday night for work to begin this week.

The cost of the contract with Allender Butzke Engineers, Inc. is $3,850 plus $350 if ground conditions require extra equipment. This work is being done to determine the location for a proposed weight room building addition. The Board also approved a modified supplemental amount request to the School Budget Review Committee for $33,780, approved a suburban bid of $378 to High School Principal Garold Thomas, and set the next regular meeting for January 20th with a closed session for a superintendent evaluation.
