A Guthrie Center woman was given a suspended 25-year prison sentence each for two convictions of distributing a controlled substance to a minor.
Court documents show that last week 35-year-old Karrie Elizabeth McCrea was found guilty of the class B felony offenses, and she is to be placed on three years probation for each count, served concurrently. McCrea must pay over $3,500 for legal assistance, court costs, jail fees, and a law enforcement initiative surcharge. She must also abide by a no contact order, and all other charges in connection with this case have been dismissed.
The case stemmed from a June 17th incident in which McCrea gave her stepdaughter and another minor a marijuana joint and glass bong to smoke at a sleepover. A search warrant was executed on June 28th, and McCrea and her husband 36-year-old Jordan Daniel Liggett were arrested, who was sentenced to probation in September.
