Another candidate for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States will be visiting the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area this week.

U.S. Senator from New Jersey Cory Booker will be stopping in Adel Friday morning for a free public event. He will be kicking off his statewide “Lead With Love” bus tour with a rally at the Adel Family Fun Center, and will be joined by special guests, local elected officials, and community activists. Doors will open for the event at 9 a.m., and registration is not required to attend. The Dallas County Democratic Party is organizing the event, with Party Chairperson Bryce Smith – also the owner of the Adel Family Fun Center – serving as the host.

Booker is one of 15 Democratic candidates hoping to win the nomination for President in the June primary election. He previously visited Dallas County in March, at a private event in Waukee. This is his first public event in the County, as he ramps up his campaign prior to the February 3, 2020 Iowa Caucuses.
