A fundraiser will be held Monday for a Greene County first responder agency.
The Churdan Fire and Rescue Department is hosting a fundraiser supper on December 16th at the Paton-Churdan school building from 5-7:30pm. The menu is pulled pork sandwiches, chips, baked beans and a dessert for $5. Proceeds will go toward purchasing ventilation equipment.
Nate Byerly with Churdan Fire and Rescue says the department doesn’t have any gas-powered ventilation equipment and they are looking to purchase two units. Byerly adds, having this equipment on scenes of fires will help better protect fire crews.
