Wednesday, December 11th

3:47am: Tammy Wistenberg reported a Suspicious Male in the 700 Block of West Washington Street. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.

6:04am: Officers responded to a Panic Alarm Activation at 304 East Monroe Street. The resident had accidentally tripped the alarm. All was fine.

6:12am: Aspen Clonninger reported she had caught a stray dog at 309 North Oak Street. The animal’s owner arrived and took the dog before the officer’s arrival.

12:15pm: Officers arrested Adam Michael Winger, 39 of Jefferson, at 504 South Olive Street. Winger had an outstanding Arrest Warrant for, “Probation Violation.”

3:08pm: Officers executed a Search Warrant on a vehicle, which had been towed to the Impound Lot on 12/07/2019. Suspected narcotic items were seized from the vehicle for testing. Future charges are pending lab results.

4:09pm: An off duty officer witnessed a female get into a vehicle with a male in the 500 Block of East Lincoln Way Street. The officer knew the couple had a No Contact Order in effect. Duty officers went to 403 West Head Street and arrested Jason William Sheldahl, 48 of Jefferson and Tanisha Kathleen Rice, 44 of Jefferson were both arrested and charged with, “Violation of a Protective Order/Contempt – Simple.”

******** Jessica Jo Peterson, 36 of Ogden faces further charges. An officer finished an investigation from 12/08/2019 at 1000 West Adams Street. Items had been removed from a common area of the Community Center at Walton Woods. An interior office door was damaged in an Attempted Burglary. Evidence gathered from the subject while arrested at the GC School Administration Building and evidence from Walton Woods gathered y officers has led to the request for additional Arrest Warrants. Peterson will be charged with, “Burglary 3rd Degree – D Felony and Theft 5th Degree – Simple.”

Thursday, December 12th

2:32am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of East Vest Street.

3:48pm: An officer assisted a Greene County Conservation employee by dispatching a deer in the 1200 Block of West Lincoln Way Street.

3:50pm: Jenecy Ripperger reported a package was delivered at her apartment building at 306 West Lincoln Way Street by UPS. She verified it was delivered on 12/02/2019, but she had not received it. It had been left at the wrong apartment. The value of the shipped items was $275.60. The officer is investigating.

4:32pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the 200 Block of South Chestnut Street. A 2014 Ford F250, owned and operated by Karen White of Glidden, was backing from a parking spot and backed into a legally parked vehicle on the street. The 2016 Chevy Traverse was owned by Omega Sang of Jefferson. Both vehicles had a reported $500.00 in damages. White was cited for, “Unsafe Backing Upon a Highway.”

7:52pm: While patrolling an officer located a couple involved in a Verbal Argument outside of a residence in the 400 Block of North Vine Street. The officer advised the couple to go inside as to not bother other residents in the area.

11:59pm: A Traffic Stop at Maple and McKinley Streets resulted in Rodney Sheffield of Des Moines being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”
