February may seem like a long time from now, but the Perry Chamber of Commerce believes it’s never too early to start talking about their big event that month: the Bike Ride to Rippey, or BRR Ride.

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says this will be the 43rd year for the event, so people are likely familiar with it by now. However, she reminds bicyclists that signing up early has its benefits. “It’s a big fundraiser for the Chamber and it draws a lot of people into Perry for a fun winter ride. So registration is open for that, we’ve had positive feedback so far. Our goal is to have the first 300 registrants by the end of the year, that’s when the price goes up by $5. So it’s a great chance to save a few bucks, but then also commit to the ride without being too worried about the weather.”

Pasutti adds, there will once again be free entertainment before and after the event for those who take part, with more details coming soon. The BRR Ride will take place the morning of February 1st, regardless of the weather, and starts and finishes at Hotel Pattee in Perry. The registration fee from now until January 1st is $25 per person, and it’s non-refundable. For more information on BRR or to sign up, click the link below.
