The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved a job title that hasn’t been used in nine years for one of their departments Tuesday.
County Engineer Josh Sebern requested a promotion for Project Manager Evan Subbert to now be Assistant to the County Engineer. Sebern said he had planned and budgeted for this payroll change of $4.11 per hour, an increase of $8,500 annually. Sebern informed the Board that this won’t create an opening in his department, but will allow Sebern more time to focus on the road maintenance side of his department. Subbert will oversee technicians Mike Pearey and Ethan Shettler. Subbert has worked for the secondary roads department for nine years. The Board also approved an advance tax increment financing request from Sebern of $200,000.
