The Guthrie Center City Council approved employee wage increases for 2020 after a joint meeting with the Utility Board was held Monday night.
The Council approved a four-percent increase for all employees plus an extra $1,500 for non-department heads. During their regular meeting, the Council approved an engagement letter with D.A. Davidson & Company for underwriting the general obligation bond for the bathhouse project. Finally, they tabled action on purchasing a new City vehicle, and after a public hearing was held they approved a resolution disposing parcels of land located between 5th and 7th streets to Bart Goplerud and Leslie Clemenson for $500. The City plans on closing on the sale on April 1st.
