Jefferson Matters: Main Street is in the middle of next year’s investment drive.

The non-profit organization has tabbed next year’s theme as “Setting Our Sights on 2020.” JMMS Program Director Peg Raney says they are seeking $75,000 to go towards projects and activities for 2020. She points out, anyone can donate and become an investor with JMMS.

“We really encourage our businesses, for sure, and organizations (to invest). But we have a lot of individuals who just really like what’s going on in our downtown. They like to see all of these projects that they see on our website, or our Facebook page, and other social media too, they want to see those things continue.”

As an added incentive, anyone who donates from now until the end of December will be entered into a drawing through the Organization Team for a Main Street Experience package. Items included are a Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower seasonal pass, and gift certificates to the Sierra Community Theatre, Spare Time Lanes, Peony Chinese Restaurant and Doc’s Stadium.
