The wrestling team of the West Central Valley Wildcats took part in the Dan Hill invitational last Saturday and had various wrestlers put up good performances in the event. Weston Pote put up a good performance finishing 3rd in the event at the 138 weight class, another strong performance after finishing 3-0 in his first dual of the year.

Ayden Phippen finished 4th at the 220 class, Justin Garcia also finished 4th at the tournament, Blaise Beane finished 5th at the 152 weight class, and Braiden Beane finished 6th at the 145 weight class. The Wildcats won 9 of their matches via fall, while only losing 5 of them via that process.

The Wildcats will be back on the practice mat today to continue to hone their skills, they’ll have more competitions coming in the near future.
