The West Central Valley Wildcats were competitive in all of their matches against East Union, ACGC, and Nodaway Valley, defeating East Union and narrowly losing to ACGC and Nodaway Valley. The Wildcats defeated East Union by the score of 42-33, and had some nice performances from Justin Garcia, who overall went 2-1 on the day, and Weston Pote, who went 3-0 on the day in a good first showing of the season.
The Wildcats went won eleven matches on the night via fall, and also won some decisions via forfeit as well. The Wildcats were very competitive in their first match of the year, and will look to duplicate their same success when they travel to Harlan on Saturday to participate in a tournament.
