The Perry Public Library invites area families to get into the holiday spirit this weekend with a special event that includes several activities.
The “Santa’s Workshop” program will run from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, and it’s open to kids in kindergarten through 5th grade with an accompanying adult. Attendees will craft homemade gifts for their loved ones, make an ornament to put on their tree, and also enjoy a free snack. Additionally, they will get to visit the Carnegie Library Museum next door to view the annual Festival of Trees, which this year has the most entries it’s ever had.
The event is free to attend, though it’s limited to 50 participants so registration is required. For more information or to sign up, stop in or call the Perry Library at 515-465-3569 and talk to Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel.
