In the flurry of holiday shopping, there are some deadlines to be aware so that packages arrive at their destinations by Christmas Day.
Jefferson Postmaster Peg Erickson says the last day to ship packages internationally by first class mail is this Saturday and by priority mail is next Saturday, December 14th. For packages that need to be sent within the United States, the deadline to ensure them getting to their destination by Christmas Day is December 20th for first class mail, December 21st for priority mail and express mail guaranteed is December 23rd.
