Greene County area children who want to make sure they get their wish list to Santa Claus, can do so starting tomorrow.

From December 1st-15th, kids can write letters to St. Nicholas and drop them off in Santa’s Mailbox in front of the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center in Jefferson. If any kid would like Santa to write them back, they must provide a return address with their letter.

Santa will also be at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5th, where kids can give their letters directly to Santa. Chairperson Angie Reese-Heuser says they had a great response last year.

“Last year it was a huge hit. We heard thanks throughout the whole community about how great it was, and how excited the kids were to get a letter back from Santa. We knew we had to do it again this year.”  

There’s no cost to submit a letter, but the deadline to participate is December 15th.
