After some delay due to licensing, the Wednesday Fellowship Meal in Perry is set to resume this coming week.

The meal will be hosted at the McCreary Community Building on December 4th at noon, and will be operated by Perry Lutheran Homes. PLH initially believed their existing food license would be applicable for the fellowship meal, though that ended up not being the case and they’ve been waiting since September for approval by the Department of Inspections and Appeals. With food license in hand, they’re ready to bring meals to the elderly in Perry. The lunch is open to community members age 50 and above, and costs $5 per person. It includes a full meal plus drinks and dessert, plus fellowship with friends and neighbors.

Reservations are recommended, and can be made by calling the McCreary Center at 515-465-5621. Perry Lutheran Homes took over the fellowship meal and Meals on Wheels program in Perry at the request of the Dallas County Board of Supervisors and Aging Resources, following the dissolution of the County’s Homecare Services.
