On Friday, December 6th, the City of Adel will be all about Christmas.
For starters, the Adel Public Library will be hosting their annual Holiday Craft Show and Book Fair from 2-5 p.m. There will be a wide assortment of local artisans and authors in the community room during that time, and lots of unique items available for purchase. Also at the library, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their elves will be on hand from 3:30-5 p.m. to meet children, take pictures, and of course listen to what everyone wants for Christmas. There will also be free balloons and face painting.
The big event during the day is the annual Sip and Sample, which this year is titled “Winter Nights, Magical Lights.” There will be 48 different stops along the tour, with each location offering a different treat or beverage to try. The businesses will also be offering specials and open houses during the event. Other activities during the evening include the wreath lighting and carolers on the square starting at 5:30 p.m., and carriage rides at Harmony Hall from 5:30-8. Santa will also stick around for the Sip and Sample, hanging out at Adel Dental Group from 5:30- 8 p.m. You can also pick up BINGO cards at Harvey’s Greenhouse and Modville, which can be entered for door prizes. There is no cost to attend any of next Friday’s activities.
