Stuart residents and surrounding visitors can get some holiday shopping done while supporting the local economy on Small Business Saturday.
This is the Stuart Chamber of Commerce’s fifth year participating in the nationwide event, and there are many specials happening at local businesses, from the Stuart Bowl to the Stuart Veterinary Clinic. Chamber member Loretta Sloss describes some of the opportunities, “There’s just so much you can do, you can come to town you can eat, Los Altos has specials, all you have to do at Country Kitchen is go in and say ‘Small Business Saturday’ and you get 15% off your total meal. And then we’ve got Ruby’s they’ve got delicious sandwiches and Johnie’s usually has food so come make a day of it and evening it’s just a fun, fun day.”
The Stuart Chamber is also hosting their second annual Craft & Vendor Show from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 105 Northwest 2nd Street next door to Stuart Appliance. Over 16 local booths will be selling baked goods and other handcrafted products for the holiday season. If you are interested in hosting a free booth, contact Sarah Gomez at 515-249-3107 or sgomez52268@gmail.com.
