Tomorrow, the Perry community is invited to get a warmup meal ahead of Thanksgiving, while also supporting a good cause.
The Perry First Christian Church is partnering with the Perry Police Department to host their annual “Before the Turkey Soup Supper.” The event is being hosted by the church’s “Every Day God Experiences” (EDGE) Youth Group, and it will include multiple soups, sides, and desserts. It will be held tomorrow starting at 5 p.m. at the church, which is located at 1224 Lucinda Street, and the cost is a free-will offering. The meal will be served by members of the youth group and police officers, and all proceeds will benefit the annual “Shop with a Cop” program.
Organizers encourage the public to attend, not only to get a break from cooking the night before Thanksgiving, but also to help others in the Perry community have a happy holiday season.
