It’s the week of Thanksgiving, so the public should be aware of several closures around Dallas County.

In Perry, all City offices, the Water Works Department, the Perry Public Library, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed Thursday and Friday. All residential garbage routes scheduled for Thursday will be picked up Wednesday. There will be no change for those with garbage pickup on Monday, Tuesday, or Friday, but there will be no yard waste pickup this week. Similarly in Adel, all City offices and the Public Library will be closed both the 28th and 29th for Thanksgiving. Garbage and recycling services for the two days will each be delayed by a day.

All Dallas County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Additionally, the Department of Transportation driver’s license station in Adel will be closed Thursday through Sunday, but will be open Monday, December 2nd from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Finally, all post offices and banking institutions in cities throughout the County will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving, but will reopen on Friday unless otherwise specified.
