Friday, November 22nd

6:38am: Nicole Gohn called and advised her vehicle had broken down near Elm and 220th Street. She advised the vehicle would be removed by 1000 hours, which it was.

9:41am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Oak Street.

12:05pm: An officer delivered a message to subjects in the 300 Block of North Cedar Street.

3:31pm: The Greene County Elementary School reported a suspicious male loitering near the school. The officer spoke to the subject, who was waiting to see his daughter, who is a student there.

4:20pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident at Elm and Central Ave. A 2017 Jeep Cherokee, owned and operated by Sylvia Kunce of Jefferson, was westbound on Central Ave. She stopped her vehicle behind a semi and grain trailer on Central Ave. at the posted stop sign on North Elm Street. The semi began to back up and the trailer made slight contact with her vehicle, causing approximately $500.00 in damages. The semi left the area. The officer has reviewed video from the area and has identified the owner of the semi. He is working to speak to the owner.

8:17pm: Zachary Dane reported a Suspicious Male in vehicle following him as he walked in the 500 Block of West Clark Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

9:15pm: Jill Johnson reported juveniles ringing her doorbell and running away at 402 South Wilson Ave.

10:46pm: Austin Gibbs reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading east towards Jefferson. The officer located the vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop near Mulberry and 220th Street. The officer warned the driver of the complaint and his driving habits.

Saturday, November 23rd

1:16am: Troy Powers advised that Juveniles were ringing his doorbell and running from the area of 603 South Oak Street. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.

8:24am: A Traffic Stop in the 1100 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Sandra Hart of Albert City being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:25am: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at 106 West Washington Street. Cindy Danielson released the parking brake in her 2006 Buick Lucerne, causing the vehicle to roll forward. Danielson’s vehicle made light contact with a parked vehicle ahead of hers. The 2012 Ford Escape was owned by Jolene Welder of Bagley. The Welder vehicle suffered a reported $500.00 in damages, while Danielson’s vehicle had a reported $100.00 in damages.

11:25am: The Cobble Stone Hotel reported a subject had an extended stay at the hotel at 771 Wild Rose Lane, but left without paying for the services. He owed $1068.00 when he left the Motel without paying. The officer is investigating.

12:09pm: Susan Cort advised of a large dog running freely near 606 Hwy. 30 East. The officer did not locate the animal in the area.

2:36pm: A subject brought a Stray Dog to the LEC he had caught near 1207 North Elm Street. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.

2:45pm: Juanita Gilroy reported someone had broken into her rental property in the 700 Block of North Cedar Street and removed items from the garage. The officer is investigating.

5:33pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Gallop Road resulted in Joshua Greene of Madrid being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

5:58pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th Street and Doreen Wilbur Drive resulted in Russell Rupe of Bondurant being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:19pm: A caller advised of Loud Music in the 300 Block of West State Street. The officer located the source and advised the subjects to turn the music down.

10:56pm: An officer conducted a Traffic Stop in the 900 Block of North Wilson Avenue with a vehicle with a dark rear plate and no third brake light. During the stop, the officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from insider the vehicle. During a Probable cause Search of the vehicle, the officers located two smoking devices and seized them for testing. Charges are pending lab results on the items. Eric Grevson of Jefferson was cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

Sunday, November 24th

2:30am: An officer performed a Traffic Stop on a Speeding Vehicle near 220 th Street and Doreen Wilbur Drive. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Michael York Jones, 22 of Castana for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious, Excessive Speed – Simple, and Fail to Display Driver’s License – Simple.”

11:18am: A Traffic Stop at Cedar and Central resulted in Zachary Smith of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

12:21pm: A subject brought a Stray Dog to the LEC he had caught in the 300 Block of South Grimmell Road. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding facility.

3:29pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 250 th Street resulted in Brandt Butler of Baxter being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:05pm: Ben Jacobson reported someone burning yard waste near Cedar and Harrison. Officers advised Jacobson this can occur, according to city ordinance, between 0700 and 2100 hours.

8:01pm: Officers checked on a 911 hang Up Call to dispatch. The subject was fine and needed no assistance.

8:25pm: Cameron Greenough brought a stray dog to the LEC he had caught in the 100 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.
