The 2019-2020 Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ Basketball season tips off tonight as the Fillies will open the season on the road tonight at North Polk.

The season is rightfully full of hype, as the DC-G Girls’ are coming off of a 16-7 season in 2018-2019, and will return the five biggest scoring leaders, including Jordan Cunningham, Elizabeth Elfvin, Julia Reis, Ella Lampe, and Lexi Protzman.  Those five, alone, combined for almost 50 points per game last season.

DC-G will want to return the favor to North Polk tonight, as the Comets spoiled the season opener for the Fillies last year, with North Polk winning 54-50.

One area that DC-G will want to improve upon is in free throw shooting.  The Fillies shot just 58% from the charity stripe in the last campaign, which left a lot of points from being tallied on the scoreboard.

DC-G and North Polk will tip off tonight in season opening action at 7:30pm in Alleman.
