Several people crowded the Meythaler Photography studio in Jefferson for the final Java and Juice program of the year.

Owners Dan and Britt Meythaler opened their studio at 122 East State Street in 2015. Dan told attendees when they first started, they photographed weddings, family and high school senior portraits. Now, he said they’ve stopped doing weddings, but are taking as many as 200 headshots per year, along with continuing to do family and high school senior photos. They have also added a retail space near the front entrance.

The building has previously been a hearing aid center, sewing shop, bar, shoe repair business, among others. Dan said they chose Jefferson because they wanted a small town to raise a family, have a business on a town square, and be closer to family in Fort Dodge. 

This was the final Java and Juice program until it returns in March of 2020.
