Starting Monday, the community is invited to place their bids for the annual Adel Public Library Holiday Basket Silent Auction.

A wide assortment of baskets have been donated by area businesses and organizations, and people will be able to bid on them until Friday, December 8th. All the proceeds from the auction will go towards the “Love of Reading” scholarships, which are given every spring to graduating Adel-DeSoto-Minburn students who have a passion for books. The baskets will be on display in the library through December 8th, and the winners will be contacted to pick up their prizes that weekend.
