Wednesday, November 20th

4:06pm: Matt Gordon reported a stray dog roaming in the 500 Block of West Harrison Street. The officer searched the area, but was unable to locate the animal.

5:37pm: Officers went to 307 West Lincoln Way Street and arrested Austin Taylor O’Connell on outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrants. O’Connell had warrants for, “Possession of Controlled Substance/Marijuana 1st Offense – Serious, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drug – Serious, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple.” The charges stem from a fire at the residence on 10/30/2019. During the event, Jefferson firefighters located the items in the bathroom and advised officers. The items were seized and sent to the lab for testing.

6:50pm: Officers were requested at 615 South Olive Street for problems with a juvenile male at the residence. Officers arrived and spoke to the juvenile and his parents. The officers worked to diffuse the issues and the child was allowed to go to his room and cool down.

8:04pm: Merissa Olson reported a Careless Driver near Lincoln Way and Cedar Streets.

9:12pm: Mary Springer advised of two males smoking marijuana in a vehicle parked at 508 North Elm Street. The vehicle left before the officer arrived.

10:49pm: Kurt Meinecke reported Loud Music in the 700 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer checked the area, but did not locate any music in the area.
