AC/GC’s Gunnar Larsen is looking to build on a stellar sophomore season on the wrestling mat.

Last season Larsen made his debut at the big dance in Des Moines. He earned a spot at the Class 1A State Championship Tournament after his district championship. Larsen went 1-2 at the state tournament in Des Moines earlier this year. He capped off his sophomore season with a 33-7 record. Entering the 2019-20 season, Larsen is ranked ninth in Class 1A’s 132 pound weight class by iawrestle.com.

Practice for the Charger wrestling team started earlier this week. Their first competition will be a quad versus host Nodaway Valley,
East Union, and West Central Valley on Thursday, December 5th.
