The Dallas Center-Grimes Wrestling team started practice on Monday, and this season brings high hopes for the program as three of four athletes who qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament in 2019 return to the mat this year for the Mustangs.

The lone Senior State Qualifier from last year’s team, Bain Broderick, has since graduated.  The three State Qualfiying Wrestlers back on the mat this winter for DC-G include Seniors, Luke Fister and Trey Wells, along with Sophomore, Brayden Broderick.

All three returners advanced past the first day of the State Wrestling Tournament last year, which solidifies a strong foundation and core for Head Coach, Cory Stratton.

DC-G Wrestling will take the mat the first time this winter on Thursday, December 5 when the Mustangs host Norwalk.
