The Sip and Shop event offered by the Perry Chamber of Commerce is officially a series, and the next occasion will be next week on the eve of Thanksgiving.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the Merchants Group of the Chamber held the first one in September as a way to bring people into their stores after their normal business hours, and encourage them to shop local. After the resulting success of that event and the following one in October, Pasutti says the group felt it was a no brainer to keep it going. However, she points out the November affair will have a different time frame. “Instead of on Friday, we’re going to do it on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. (We’re) thinking about family members that are visiting, (as) kind of entertainment for that group of individuals. This is a chance to get out and just to have a little fun, do some holiday shopping, experience what our shops have to offer, (and) have a little bit of fun too!”
