Tuesday, November 18th

12:47am: A Traffic Stop was performed at Lincoln Way and Elm Streets, which resulted in Melissa Farhart of Webster City being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

8:09am: Robert Sharp reported a vehicle swerved into his lane as he rode his bicycle near Cedar and Perry Streets. He provided the officer with a registration plate number. The officer contacted the driver, who advised he remembered seeing the cyclist, but did not swerve at them.

11:03am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

1:25pm: An officer checked 501 South Elm Street after a 911 Hang Up Call from the residence. All was fine and the call was accidental.

1:49pm: Officers were assisted by a deputy at 504 South Oak Street with the arrest of Marcus Larry Lamarr Cannon, 29 of Jefferson. Cannon had an active Greene County Arrest Warrant for, “Probation Violation” on an original charge of Felony Domestic Abuse Assault.

2:24pm: Mike Daves reported receiving a Scam Text. He was advised in the e-mail that he was selected to receive a grant he had applied for. (He had not applied for one.) He was instructed to pay $1000.00 in taxes, as the IRS was holding up his $200,00.00 Grant until the taxes were paid. He did not suffer a loss and provided no information.

4:49pm: HyVee reported a group of subjects standing under the awning at 106 West Washington Street, possibly smoking narcotics. Officers arrived in the area and did not locate the subjects. The store is reviewing camera footage at this time for the officers.

5:37pm: Jared Winert reported that an elderly male had yelled at him for his headlights being to bright in the parking lot at 1207 North Elm Street. He had left the area before calling officers.

6:45pm: The Cobble Stone Hotel requested officers at 771 Wild Rose Lane after a client reported her mother was missing. She suffers from Dementia. Before officers arrived, the subject was located in another room.

7:14pm: Tami Breheny reported her Special Needs juvenile son received a bruise from an associate teacher at 401 East Russell Street. She provided the officer with possible witnesses to the event. The officer is investigating the report.

9:33pm: Rich Burkhardt spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue with vehicle parts he had lent to a friend.

11:23pm: Keri Moore reported a Careless Semi Driver on 220th Street, heading west towards Jefferson. The officer located the reported semi, but witnessed no infractions of law as he followed it.
