The Big Red Radio will be making stops all across the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area to help those who are food insecure with the Caring Christmas Food Drive.

The Lil’ Big Red Radio will make its first appearance from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at Country View Estates in Guthrie Center, and then will be at the Guthrie Center Hometown Foods from 4-6 p.m. Thursday. The Big Red Radio will be in Jefferson Friday, starting off at Hy-Vee, sponsored by MacDonald Insurance, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and then at Fareway sponsored by Motor Inn from 2-4 p.m. There’s no shortage of stops Saturday, as the Lil’ Big Red Radio will be at the Winterset Fareway from 10 a.m.-noon, and the Big Red Radio will be at the Jefferson Fareway from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m., sponsored by Jefferson A&W and Carroll Hydraulics, respectively.

Raccoon Valley Radio will be broadcasting live from all of these stops and collecting non-perishable food donations that will be given to that community’s food pantry. Jefferson Fareway also has prepared food bags for values of 5, 10, and 20 dollars. People can also stop by and register for our $1,000 Christmas Cash Giveaway.
