
Many of Guthrie County’s youth and others were honored as the Guthrie County 4-H program wrapped up the 2018-2019 year with their annual awards day program.
The event was held on November 10th in the Panorama High School Auditorium. Thirty-one 4-H members received their tenure award, and Sydney Henderson and Chad Sheley of the Cass Pioneers and SESS Rangefinders, respectively, earned the Award of the Clover for five years of involvement. Those named the most improved members were Evan Johnson of the Cass Pioneers, Shyann Young of the Grant Sky Eagles, Anna Owen of the SESS Rangefinders, Tanner Downing of the Seely Bobcats, Lilah Heinz-Wilson of the U.S. Sunbeams, and Gracie Hodges of the Wichita Wildcats. The Hard Luck Story award went to Rylee Sloss of the U.S. Sunbeams.
For the adult awards, Guthrie Center Hometown Foods was recognized as Friend of 4-H, Mike and Karen Finnegan received the 4-H Alumni Award, and Jimmy Hummel received the Honorary 4-H Award. To read the full list of 4-H recognitions, visit this story at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
