A Scranton man faces a felony burglary and probation revocation charges.

According to court documents, 25-year-old Kole Higgins is charged with a Class D Felony for third-degree burglary. The charge stems from an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on September 19th. The victim reported three bird cages, along with several birds were missing from a parked camper trailer behind the victim’s home in Scranton. The victim was watching the birds for another person.

While executing a search warrant at Higgins’ home, a deputy found the cages and three birds in the basement, which the victim then confirmed the items from the deputy’s recorded body camera footage.

Higgins already faces a probation violation charge, due to the burglary and a driving while barred charge from another incident. Higgins was serving probation from a previous drug-related conviction by jury earlier this year. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office arrested Higgins on the warrants and he was booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
