The Perry Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating another new member next Friday, as they welcome long-time Perry business the Bluejay Market into the fold.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says they will host a ribbon-cutting for the business on November 22nd at 5 p.m. She says the timing is a little later than the public is typically used to, but says it makes the most sense for the merchant. Pasutti encourages Chamber members and the community to attend the event, especially if they’ve never been inside the shop. “So Bluejay Market’s been around for a little while. They had an ownership change back in 2017, but haven’t been a Chamber member until recently. So we are excited to officially welcome them as Chamber member, reintroduce (them) to the community, (and) showcase the new owners. But then another exciting thing is that they have recently done some renovations and expansions inside. So kind of a fun thing: they’re the first and only walk-in cooler – it’s actually called a ‘beer cage’ – in Perry. So it’s the first one, the only one in Perry, and so they’re really excited about providing that to the community and showing it off!”
Pasutti adds, one of the Bluejay Market’s vendors will be on hand providing free samples, adding another reason to have the event later in the day.
