With the 2019 fall sports season in the rear view mirror, we’re talking a look at some of the season’s best moments.
The Charger football team came out of the shadows with their first winning season as AC/GC. Year two of the Cody Mathewson era started with a four-game winning streak to start the season, avenging three 2018 losses along the way. AC/GC went on to break multiple records including most points score in a single game after their 72-33 victory over Woodward Academy. The Chargers finished 6-3 and finishing fourth in a very competitive district. They finished 14th in the final RPI standing and was the first team left out of the state playoffs. Sophomore Gavin Cornelison set the all-time AC/GC single season rushing record 1,103 yards.
The Chargers have found their workhorse in Cornelison as he is just a sophomore and will continue to grow with this up and coming Charger football program.
