The Perry School Board convened Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting began with an presentation from District Librarian Mari Butler on the progress of the media center services, the latest on the Building Trades class house project from Industrial Tech Instructor Chad Morman, and an update from Director of Teaching and Learing Kevin Vidergar on the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP). In general business, the Board approved the transfer of $208.04 from the elementary student council and pencil funds to the general fund, as well as transferring $160,000 from the general fund to the student construction fund for the Building Trades class. Next, they approved a 4 Seasons fundraiser request for the SkillsUSA and Technology Student Association (TSA) programs.

Following that, the Board approved the submission of requests to the School Budget Review Committee to increase the modified supplemental amount for increasing enrollment, open enrolled out students, and the English Language Learner program for the current school year. Other items approved included: changes to the graduation requirements and basic instruction program; revisions to Board policies; early graduation requests; and a personnel change.
