Several write-in candidates from Tuesday’s local and school board election have been identified in Guthrie County.

The Guthrie County Auditor’s Office released an updated report Wednesday on the unofficial results, showing some successful write-in campaigns. For the Panora City Council only one candidate, Shane Gliem, was filed for a race to elect two. Gliem received 144 votes, and Tom Flanery received 29 write-in votes. For the Stuart City Council, the report shows that in the race for two seats, filed candidates Michael Kalbach and Kristina Renslow received the most votes with 92 and 65, respectively. Write-in candidates Kevin Guisinger and James Morgan received 52 and 13 votes, respectively.

While no candidates filed for the West Central Valley School Board District 2 Director seat, a write-in was victorious for Jason Tiggs with 35 ballots, Steven Amburg with 22, and Linda Keech with four. While the Guthrie County Auditor has released write-in names to the public, other counties may take a few more days to tabulate the information. The results are unofficial until a canvassing by the Board of Supervisors.
