A Jefferson man has been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for several drug offenses committed in Guthrie County.

According to Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird, on Monday 35-year-old Charles Adam Bradshaw pled guilty to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver less than five grams of methamphetamine, a class C felony; and possession of a firearm by a felon and gathering where meth is unlawfully used, both class D felonies. Judge Randy Hefner sentenced Bradshaw to 10 years in prison for the class C felony, and five year sentences for each of the class D felonies, to be served concurrently. He was ordered to pay court costs, the D.A.R.E. surcharge, law enforcement surcharge, and $2,500 in fines along with the statutory 35% surcharge. He’s also ordered to pay attorney’s fees and almost $7,000 in jail fees.

Bradshaw was originally charged with possession of more than five grams of meth, a class B felony for the July 14th incident, when Guthrie County Sheriff’s Deputies, the Iowa State Patrol, and Panora Police Officers executed a search warrant in rural Bayard. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation also assisted with the case.
