Monday, November 4th

9:49am: Officers assisted the Sheriff’s Office in delivering a Death Notification to a Jefferson resident.

10:00am: Judy Thompson advised an officer that she was walking her dog on 11/03/2019, near Adams and Grimmell Streets. She advised she was approached by a young Boxer Breed. The animal would not leave her dog alone until a possible owner arrived and gathered up the animal. Thompson’s dog was not injured in the event. The officer is looking for the reported animal to speak to the owner about the event.

11:15am: The Jefferson Library reported Criminal Mischief damage to an exterior light. Officers will be providing extra patrol in the area after dark.

11:03am: Marlene Floyd spoke with an officer about Unwanted Contact on Face Book. The officer showed her how to block the person from access to her account.

12:45pm: Teresa Gregerson reported a possible No Contact Violation. The officer spoke to the County Attorney and was advised a violation had not occurred.

3:59pm: An officer arrested Jason William Sheldahl, 48 of Jefferson, on an Outstanding Arrest Warrant for, “Violation of Pre-Trial Release.”

4:45pm: Mabel Buchmiller spoke with an officer concerning a Jefferson resident trying to add a cell phone to her plan. The officer directed Buchmiller to report the incident to her local authorities, as she does not live in Jefferson.

5:06pm: An officer was requested at the Greene County Emergency Room, located at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street, for a male juvenile that claimed he was assaulted at 203 West Harrison Street. The officer is investigating the reported assault.

9:48pm: Shelby Wiggins reported stray dogs in the 400 Block of North Olive Street. The officer spoke to an area resident, but did not locate the animals.

Tuesday, November 5th

3:10am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Madison Streets resulted in Stephan Molle of Bayard being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

7:39am: A deputy requested an officer to assist with a Medical Call in the 1500 Block of 235th Street, as the deputy was out of position to respond in a timely fashion.

9:54am: A caller spoke with an officer about solutions to a neighbor’s dog digging under the fence and coming onto her property.

11:15am: Katie Fees spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue occurring at 307 North Olive Street.

2:00pm: Charlie Paniagua reported what she believed to be a Theft to an officer. The officer advised her it was a Civil Issue and to contact an attorney.

3:14pm: A caller advised of Shoplifting at Fareway, located at 1207 North Elm Street. The caller advised the male was still present in the business and hung up before the dispatcher could gather any further information. Officers responded to Fareway, where no one had any knowledge of the call being made. Officers later learned the call was for the Fareway in Carroll, not Jefferson. The Carroll PD had responded in their city.

5:20pm: Officers responded to 204 East State Street for an Alarm Activation. Officers learned it was an employee error, not an emergency.

5:11pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of South Cedar Street.

6:09pm: David Schrunk reported the smell of ammonia in the area of the 600 Block of Rushview Drive. The officer and city crew workers could not locate the source of the smell.

7:25pm: Sean Sebourn reported a Truck/Trailer parked on the street in the 200 Block of East Madison Street for several hours. The officer spoke to the owner of the vehicle, who removed it from the street.
