Greene County cross-country awards were presented earlier this week. Head Coach Jeff Lamoureux reports letters, academic all-conference, and other awards were presented to members of the girls and boys squads.

Girls earning letters were seniors Ashlee Harmeyer, Kassie Lamoureux, Kirsten Lamoureux, Tieryn Tucker. Juniors lettering were Conner Allender, Makala Kafer, and Kayla Muir, along with freshmen Autumn Stevens and Olivia Shannon.

Lettering for the boys were senior Brian Hardaway, juniors Connor Brus and Luis Velazco, sophomores Logan Woodruff and Ethan Larsen, and freshmen Ethan Frederick and Dakota Mobley.

Heart of Iowa Activities Conference Academic honors went to students with at least a 3.25 Grade Point Average on a 4.00 scale that were juniors or seniors and either a runner or manager. Those honorees for the girls were Harmeyer, Kassie and Kirsten Lamoureux, Tucker, Allender, Kafer, Sadie Wilson and Muir. Boys presented academic awards were Hardaway, Brus, Anthony Tolsdorf and Velazco.

Most Valuable runners were Harmeyer for the girls and Woodruff for the boys. Newcomer of the year was Muir for the girls and Mobley for the boys. Kirsten Lamoureux was named most improved runner for the girls and Tolsdorf received that honor for the boys. Tolsdorf, Brus, and Jax Carstensen received recognition for the summer workout program known as the 150 Mile Club.
