Panorama was well represented by a trio of runners at the state cross country championships.
Three girls from the cross country team qualified for the state championships and made the trip to Fort Dodge Saturday. The Panthers were led by junior Ella Waddle who led the pack finishing in fifth place overall in 19:19. Waddle also happened to be the best finishers among underclassmen in the field. Oliva Steffen was the next Panther to finish as her time of 20:50 was good enough to finish 39th. Peyton Beckman rounded out the afternoon for Panorama finishing in 21:50 which was 90th in the field of 138.
That will conclude the 2019 cross country season. Panorama will look to get back to the top tier of Class 2A next season as they bring back all three of their state qualifiers.
