Another Halloween has come and went, and for Perry that meant another downtown “Spooktacular” event, presented by the Chamber of Commerce.
Kids in the Perry area and beyond came to 2nd Street Thursday evening, decked out in their costumes in a quest for candy. While the children did that, they and their families were also able to learn a bit more about the area businesses that were providing the treats. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti felt the event was a big success, even if it was a little cold outside. “It’s great to see the community come out for an event. Obviously with free candy, who couldn’t like that? But it’s a really great thing for our businesses to get out in front of the community and interact that way. It wouldn’t be possible without them, so just a big ‘thank you’ to all those that participated in the downtown area. So (it was) just a big community event for Halloween festivities, despite the weather being a little bit chilly. But being bundled up was just fine!”
The Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio was also in attendance, providing a spooky soundtrack for the festivities. To learn more about this and other past and upcoming Chamber events, listen to this past Fridays’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
