The AC/GC volleyball team will put their season on the line tonight in the regional semi-final match.
The Chargers will make the trip to square off against Underwood. AC/GC is coming in 28-7, riding a three-match winning streak after beating Treynor in the regional quarter-finals Monday night. The Chargers have not had the best of luck against the eagles in recent memory. Underwood defeated AC/GC twice in a tournament earlier this month. All-time, Underwood is 10-1 against the Chargers. AC/GC is led by Sophomore Chloe Largent with a state-leading 597 kills.
Underwood enters the matchup with a 29-5 record on the season. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has the Eagles ranked eleventh in Class 2A. Underwood currently has an 11-match winning streak, winning 20 of their last 21 matches. The Eagles will lean on Lauren Brown up front who leads the team with 74 blocks.
The match will start at 7 p.m. tonight at Underwood High School.
