When Greene County and Des Moines Christian tee it up on Friday night, a large contingent of Ram fans is expected to be in the stands for the Class 2A first round football playoff game at DMC in Urbandale. That’s the way senior Nick Breon likes it, he told Raccoon Valley Radio. “We just need to come out fired up and that’s what’s going to happen. Knowing our fans will be on the same side as their is going to be pretty cool. We just need people out there cheering us on because that’s literally what gets us going. You can see it! Every time somebody gets a first down the fans go crazy and personally, for me, I think ‘Dang, they do want us to do well’ obviously!
All the seating is on the east side of the DMC facility, which is just off Douglas Avenue, west of I-35/80.
The Rams are 8-1 and eighth in the RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) while DMC, also 8-1, is ninth in RPI. The two programs have never met on the football field. Coverage on KG98 and streaming on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com starts on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. with kickoff at 7 p.m.
