The West Central Valley Wildcats season hung in the balance in the fifth set Monday night at Earlham High School, and made some huge plays in the fifth set to keep their season going with a huge three sets to two win over the Lady Cardinals. The fifth and final set went to extra points with the Lady Wildcats winning it 18-16.

West Central Valley really relied on their defense all night long, as six different player had ten or more digs, led by freshmen Emily Goodner who totaled 21 on the evening. The team as a total had 84 digs on the night. The tremendous defense kept them in the game, and they were able to find a way to win. The two teams met earlier in the year, and Earlham won the game, so West Central Valley was able to exact a little bit of revenge on Monday.

West Central Valley will continue their season on Thursday when they play Nodaway Valley.
