As Greene County prepares for its Class 2A first round playoff game at Des Moines Christian High School at Urbandale on Friday, the seniors are coming to grips with the fact that the next game could be their last. The 8-1 Rams are ranked seventh and their RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) is eighth. DMC is ranked ninth and their RPI is also ninth.
Iowa State University recruit Tyler Miller is a 6′ 9″, 290 lbs. two-way senior lineman for the Rams that doesn’t want the season to end on Friday. Raccoon Valley Radio asked him about the finality knowing that next game could be the last for a group that is big on numbers and on talent. “I feel like it has more meaning knowing this could be my last game with these seniors. I love them so much, they’re my brothers. We don’t want it to end. We want more games down the road, so we need to continue to drive each other, push each other, and continue to be the best people we can be, so we can continue to winning games and stay together as long as we can.”
