The Thomas Jefferson Gardens Board is hosting a series of informational meetings, and the first one is coming up next week.

The kick-off event will be on healthcare with Greene County Medical Center CEO Carl Behne. He is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and the session will focus on health policies from various Democratic Presidential candidates that are campaigning in Iowa. Behne’s presentation will include fixing the Affordable Care Act (ACA), health care for all, the public option and Medicaid. Additionally, Behne will provide information on how these policies may impact the medical center.

The meeting will begin at 5:30pm on Monday at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center. Behne is slated to speak for 20-minutes and then there will be a question and answer period. The informational meetings are free and open to the public. Future topics include water quality and communication to diminishing polarization.
