Non-frightful weather made for a howling good time at the third annual Fall-O-Ween Festival in Guthrie Center Saturday.

The Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Guthrie Center cohosted this free event downtown, with spooky themed carnival games, a pumpkin walk, costume contest, pumpkin decorating, and more for area families. Main Street Guthrie Center Board member and volunteer Emily McColloch commented on the event’s turnout, “We have had a lot of people. It’s fun to see everybody come out and enjoy it. We have wonderful weather so we can’t complain with that.”

McColloch added she enjoys being a part of this and other Main Street events that bring the community and businesses together for a more vibrant Guthrie Center. Halloween festivities are far from over in Guthrie Center, as Main Street is also holding its annual scarecrow contest, and the City will have trick-or-treating downtown from 5-6 p.m. on October 31st.
