The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting will start with a proclamation for the “Lights On After School” event with Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (PACES) program during open forum. Following that will be two public hearings. The first involves a voluntary annexation of property owned by Joyce Conklin-VanKirk, and the second involves the disposal of public property for the portion of 2nd Street that was recently vacated. After the hearings, the Council will consider resolutions related to each.
In old business, they will have discussion and possible action regarding the fourth pay request from Jensen Builders for the hangar, apron, and taxilane project at the Perry Municipal Airport. In new business, the Council will consider approving the final plat of survey for the “Bluejay Addition” for part of Block 8, Foster and Heaton’s Addition, where the Perry High School building trades class is constructing a new house. Finally, the Council will consider an agreement granting a permanent easement with Wiese Industries for a new structure that would encroach on the City’s right-of-way on 3rd Street.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
