Boone was second to Deborah at Saturday’s North Central Swim Conference meet. Greene County High School seniors Sophia Ausberger, Ellie Madson, and Julia Saul, swim for Boone under an athletic sharing agreement.  Decorah had 628 points with the Toreadors at 554, followed by Newton 436, Williamsburg 223, Vinton 203, Grinnell 104,  and Oskaloosa 77.

All three Greene County girls had top eight placings at the conference meet. Saul was second in the 500 yard freestyle race in 5:54.45, she was fourth in the 200 freestyle, on the third place 400 freestyle relay, and part of the fourth place 200 freestyle relay. Madison was sixth in the 500 freestyle, on the fourth place 200 freestyle relay, part of the fifth place 400 freestyle relay, and seventh in the 200 freestyle race, Ausberger swam on the fifth place 200 medley relay and the fifth place 400 freestyle relay.

The regular season is over for the Toreadors. Next up is a Regional meet on Nov. 2 at Ft. Dodge.
